Bob Leskovec was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Coming from a family involved in many hands-on crafts, he learned at an early age to build and fly radio controlled aircraft models. From there, his skills branched out into other areas. At the age of sixteen, after being inspired by the Spaghetti Westerns of Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef, Bob bought his first black powder revolver; an 1860 army replica. The moment he got it home, the plain one-piece grips came off and were replaced with personalized grips, which he handcrafted himself. Making custom pistol grips remained a personal hobby for Bob for a number of years, until, at the suggestion of leather crafter Jim Lockwood, of Legends in Leather, Bob decided to apply his talents to public demand. For the last sixteen years, he has operated Precision Pro Grips out of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. In Bob's own words, "The greatest part of crafting custom grips is being able to create for others what they cannot purchase from the larger manufacturers."
